deer cross(ing)

While slogging and sorting through endless piles of old family photos yesterday, I found this rather out of place, faded photo, taken many years ago in my parents’ snowy backyard. Seeing deer emerge from the woods was not an uncommon sight there, but this particular print had an ethereal quality to it.
