Today, a cross inspired by another one of my favorite Surrealist painters, Rene Magritte (1898-1967), known for his witty and thought-provoking images. His aim was to challenge observers’ preconditioned perceptions of reality. Several of his paintings feature a theatrical red curtain and/or a blue sky with clouds.
We are surrounded by curtains. We only perceive the world behind a curtain of semblance. -René Magritte

Before it disappears,
Becomes timeless night.

Let us disappear into praising.
Nothing belongs to us.
― Rainer Maria Rilke
Give light, and the darkness will disappear of itself. -Desiderius Erasmus
