After today, there are only five crosses left to make. To that end, I’m listing five things I’ve learned or come to appreciate more than ever this past year.
- Ideas are infinite and come from the ethers. Be open to receive.
- Simple is difficult but worth the effort.
- Let it go. Move on.
- Cheap brushes and paints aren’t worth the frustration they will soon cause.
- I could make cloud art every day.
Water will not flow from a faucet that is not connected to its source. -Mary Morrissey
How difficult it is to be simple. -Vincent van Gogh
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense. -Ralph Waldo Emerson
The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the sweetness of low price has faded from memory. -Aldo Gucci
Clouds on clouds, in volumes driven,
Curtain round the vault of heaven.
-Thomas Love Peacock
