There are moments of genius and there are lives of genius, when the voice of the Spirit is more urgent than the noise of the outside world. The purity and intensity of that Spirit reveals itself where there is a surrendered space or an open channel, and then moves through, unimpeded, with such pressing clarity that it can’t be ignored or traded for worldly wisdom. The greatest scientific innovations, literary works, works of art and pieces of music are all acts of the Spirit through gracious, and, more times than not, unsuspecting human hosts.
Everyone who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the Universe—a Spirit vastly superior to that of man. -Albert Einstein
…he is a man of genius who finds out a vein of new ore (a type of rock from which valuable elements that can be extracted)…Nature is deep, obscure, and infinite…only the minds on whom she makes her fullest impressions can penetrate her shrine or unveil her Holy of Holies. It is only those whom she has filled with her spirit that have the boldness or the power to reveal her mysteries to others. -William Hazlitt
Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. -Steve Jobs
Coffee is good for talent, but genius wants prayer. -Ralph Waldo Emerson
Have you been half asleep?
And have you heard voices?
I’ve heard them calling my name;
Is this the sweet sound
That called the young sailors?
The voice might be one and the same
I’ve heard it too many times to ignore it
It’s something that I’m supposed to be
-Lyrics to the Rainbow Connection, by Williams/ascher
There is a God part in you. The consciousness. The pure Self. Learn to listen the voice of that Power. -Amit Ray, Nonviolence: The Transforming Power
